Well, we're having two babies, and have two names. If we have a boy and a girl we're set! If we have two of the same we're back to the drawing board.
For a girl, we've got the first name of Emeline. In the baby books there's several spellings, including Emaline and Emmaline. We're still iffy on the spelling. We're looking at Ashley as a middle name, but I'm not super crazy about it. DH love it with Emeline though.
For a little boy, we're going with Charlie
We're stuck on a middle name for Charles, but I'm partial to Joseph. DH doesn't like it though. He thinks we should use Xavier.
So really I need help with middle names. Neither of the middle names are "it" for both of us. I'd love suggestions!
i sure do really love Charlie for a boy. What about a family name for the middle with Charles? your maiden name or your mom's or dh's moms or another family name... My ds has Ellis for a middle name, after his step- grandfather who otherwise didnt pass his last name on (he raised 3 kids but had none of his own).
if the baby im carrying now is a girl, then we will use the middle name Cassady. This was the last name of my dear great uncle and aunt who both recently passed and who didnt have any children of their own. (But really we picked it because we keep listening to the same album in dp's car and it has Cassidy by the grateful dead on it and we love it ...but i wanted to use the different spelling to honor my great aunt and uncle). Anyway, I can think of many family names that pair nicely with Charles and so recommend looking in your family tree! Maybe there is a nice one to go with Emmeline as well.
other suggestions...
Emmeline Amanda
Emaline Georgia
Emaline Anna
Emaline Anne
Emaline Mary
Emaline Grace
Emaline Lindsey
Emmeline Laura
Emmeline Maura
wow...i could keep going...everything i think of sounds pretty with that pretty first name
Wow! Thanks for all the great suggestions. You've given me a lot to think about. I'll have to think more about a middle name for Charles. Maybe at my husband's family. I'm third generation Hungarian, so all of our middle names are pretty long and complicated. I might look at a traditional hungarian first name for a middle name though.

Charles Lorand - Charles means "free man" and Lorand (hungarian) means "Crowned with Laurels" Sounds like a winner
Great ideas! I really like the idea of putting a hungarian name in there. I like Lorand too. I don't think I would have thought of it on my own.

I like these two. Especially Arden. It seems to flow really well.

You know, I like the name Charles Xavier, really. I just can't get past the fact that it's an X-men character. I worry that he'll hate us forever for giving him such a teasable name.
How about Emaline Lily? I really want to use Lillie as the middle name for our babe if it's a girl because it was my grandmother's name. I'm always trying names with Lillie in my head to find one that fits. I like it with Emaline. I spelled it a shorter way for you, but my gma spelled it Lillie.
My other two kids have family names for middle names. I'm really set on using family names in the middle, but just picking names we like for first names.
I like Charles Logan. Charlie is such a cute nickname.
We ended up naming our Charlie "Charles Christopher"
