is it safe to eat smoked salmon,sushi, pineapple and chilli while pregnant? so many old-wife tales, makes me confused....
Eating smoked salmon - or any cooked salmon is pretty darn good for you and baby during pregnancy, same goes for eggs.
Sushi - there is a risk with uncooked chili of illness, and so it isn't advised. You can eat eel and other cooked stuff, though! There's a lysteria risk with deli meats so those are supposed to be a no-go, too.
The pineapple thing is a myth. The citrus might give you heartburn or make for some unpleasant morning sickness, though! :)
Same goes for the chili!
