So, this is part question and part vent, I guess. I'm really tired today and have been having painless contrx and painful ones as well, off and on for about four weeks now, increasing in length and intensity. They aren't in the 'danger zone' yet.

Earlier today I felt like I had to puke for a minute. No bloody show, no water braking. The baby also hasn't dropped yet, but I keep feeling like I have this intuition that she's going to come early. Thing is, I'm only 34 weeks along.

What do you ladies think? Did anyone have just contrax with no bloody show or water breaking before 'suddenly' going into labor? What about the nausea? Haven't had any of that in months until today. Oh, also, worked on my future in-laws farm the past couple days, nothing too hard, just transplanting 14 flats of seedling, which I mostly sat down to do. So maybe that's causing my increase in contax?

Thanks!!!

Its hard to say, are you staying well hydrated? With DS, I got horribly sick with vomiting at 39 weeks, 5 days and chalked it up to eating bad food since it only lasted maybe an hour or two. I ended up going into labor at 40 weeks, but prior to that the only sign that I realized in hind-sight was losing stringy bits of plug that looked like EWCM during the morning. I thought it was just discharge but I ended up going into labor that afternoon. I left a BBQ and bam! contractions started 8-10 minutes apart and it went from there.

This time around I've been having menstrual type cramps, not what I could call contractions exactly but combined with the baby head pressing down into my cervix things are already starting to happen and I doubt I will make it to 40 weeks either. Who knows?

Another thing - how do I know when the baby drops? For the life of me, I can't remember what it felt like with my first kiddo. I still have a (tiny) flat space ( as in, not filled with baby belly) of stomach between my low belly and pubic hair, so I'm assuming she has not dropped yet?

i don't know, but I worry like you do. I get contractions here/there, but no pressure, no bleeding, etc. So, I don't know if it is just my worries getting away from me. But, I suppose there is something to be said about a mother's intuition too. I suppose if you get real concerned, its not too much trouble to have yourself seen by your care provider?

First off there really is no way to know when you will go into labor. Unless of course you are induced! That being said the baby doesn't have to drop either. My first two never dropped and this being my third has! I have contractions pretty much all the time and well I don't have my baby yet. I had bloody show about a week ago and still no baby. So I guess what i am saying is baby will come when it comes and you will know when that is! I am 37 weeks today and I can't wait for my little one to be here! I think it would be so exciting to have her today since it's my husbands birthday today, but I have no control over that! So we shall see what happens! Good luck Mama's it's so hard to wait!

Unfortunately things can start to happen or seem like things are happening (ie. loss of plug, more regular contrax, etc) but you can still go weeks before actually going into labor.
