Okay- I am 5 weeks and I have been getting that weird feeling in my uterus like I am about to start my period. I seem to remember with my first pregnancy my doctor saying something about that being typical and I should expect it, but I guess I am just hypersensitive now with the m/c last fall. So, has anyone else been having this? Put my mind at ease... please!

Absolutely yes, yesterday morning it was very strong, today not so much (5w5d). I don't remember it from my first so it's been worrying me a bit, to be honest.

Oh yes, I've had it the last three days. I'm 5w2d now.

I'm so concerned about a possible miscarriage. This is my first pregnancy, and really want to tell everyone but scared that it's a bad idea until week 12.

Thoughts?

I had it for a lot longer with my son. I was very uncomfortable with everything stretching and changing in there.

Chiming in from Dec...

I had it until I was about 4 months. Sometimes I still have that feeling. At least now I know that I'm not going to start my period. Either I'm pg, or just really overweight! LMBO!

Yep, still feeling crampy and AFie. I remember this from my last two. Even that feeling like your passing blood and rush to the bathroom to find its only mucus

Good to know that this is perfectly normal. I've got it really bad right now - feeling very much like my period is about to arrive any second. And I'm guilty of rushing to the toilet to check a few times as well!

I definitely have that feeling. For me, right before AF, my uterus feels very full and achy (not quite cramps, but definitely noticeable). I had that a lot last week (week 5 for me), and still some off and on this week. I also have been spotting basically everyday since the BFP, so it has been a nerve wracking 3 weeks. Just as I totally get myself convinced this is real and happening, something will get me all worried again.

However, I'm on an upswing right now because I had my first prenatal today and they did an ultrasound (because of the spotting and some growths on the cervix) so I got to see the heartbeat. It was so amazing, I can't even begin to describe it. I know it's no guarantee, but it's keeping me optimistic for now.

Yup, the lower back pain is near constant as well as the wet CM.

Question for those who've had 1 or more pgs already -- does the CM stay this way, or... how? I assumed it would've been fairly dry once pg was confirmed, but it doesn't appear that way.

evening start -- congrats on the heartbeat! I'm 5w3d but it's not normal to get an u/s before 8 or 12 weeks here in Australia. I can't wait 2.5 more weeks!!

I think it depends on your body. My CM never goes away.

You actually produce more CM during pregnancy than you would normally. It gets especially heavy towards the end because it is your body's way of lubricating itself for birth. By the end of my first pregnancy I had to wear pantyliners everyday because it was so heavy!

YES! It happened to me earlier this week. I started feeling that very distinct PMS feeling and immediately ran to my chart, because I had a threatened miscarriage in the beginning of my pregnancy and wanted to check my dates. Sure enough, it was the day that my period would have started if I had miscarried. I was freaking out. I saw a little bit of light brown spotting but nothing more, thank goodness. The period-y feeling lasted for another day, but yesterday I saw the baby's heartbeat.
