My daughter will be 9 in 2 months, so she will be a little past 9 1/2 when the babe is born.

It's been so long since I was pregnant, this almost feels like it's the first time.

Anyway, if there is more of you out there, I'd love to chat.

If this baby is viable, my son will be 5 when s/he is born. Not HUGE difference, but significant. It should be itneresting!

Not MY kids so my pregnancies weren't far apart, but my step-kids are 12 and 9, my little one is 16 months and then this one due when she is 2. It is delightful to see the older kids interact with such care with the younger ones.

My dd will be 8 if this babe makes it to term (forgive my trepidation...just last 3 pregs ended in mc so I am cautiously optimisitic). I'm not sure how she will feel about it, having been an only child for so long. I suspect the challenge will be our energy level and ability to interact with her while tending to the new babe. BUT...I think she will dig being a big sis eventually. I plan to tell her with a very cool "I'm gonna be a big sis" t-shirt once I feel everything is going o.k.

Sticky vibes to you mama!

Yeah, 9 years is a long time for my dd to go from an only to a sibling. She is really psyched though! I pulled her in my lap and whispered, "I've got a secret. You're going to be a big sister." She got so excited!

My daughter will be 6 years and almost two months when this baby will be born. Im a little trepidatious because she is SUCH an only child. Also I read that if you wait 6 years between giving birth its like doing it for the first time for your body.

I haven't told her yet. Im waiting til after the appointment with the OB/Midwife in a couple of weeks.

Shelley, married to my wonderful DH and mama to DD (11) DD (5) and  DD (2)

My ds will only be about 4years 8 months, so not HUGE, but enough to have me forgetting all about the pregnancy and early years. I feel like it's the first time again!
