Busy Mom raising 5 kiddos, 7, 6, 5, 2 and a brand new bundle!! (5/15/11)
Crashing your DDC from January...
I rode last time up till about 8 months (I'm a commuter biker, and that's when my job ended). I'm coming up on 6 months now, and still biking regularly, with no intention to stop. My teaching job will go until 3 weeks before I'm due, in fact, so I'll be riding until then.
My experience with balance is that if you've been riding the whole time, you'll be fine. If you try to get on a bike at 7 or 8 months when you haven't been riding, it's more of a trouble.
Other than that, avoid bumpy roads, take it easy, and carry water. I love biking pregnant because it's so much more comfortable than walking! I've been known to take my bike along and coast when we go for long walks with friends.
So anyway, no need for disappointment.
