I am a semi-crunchy new mommy to a sweet baby girl. My daughter was born on 2-25-13. She is a little doll! We breastfeed, co-sleep, babywear, and use some natural products.
I have not been able to get into cloth diapering as the two times I used them (BG AIOs) they leaked all over me. I felt like I would be spending so much time spraying, washing, rushing to the bathroom, etc. that I wouldn't be able to enjoy my baby!
I had an all natural labor at a freestanding birth center with midwives that ended in hospital transfer. My water broke, I labored naturally for 20 hours at the birth center, dilated 3 cm in that time, transferred to hospital, got pit/epi, pushed for 3 hours, my daughter was born with vacuum extraction, and I had a 2nd degree tear. She was 7#11oz, 19 in, and so beautiful and perfect!
I did not have the beautiful birth experience that I imagined, but I was happy to have my sweet baby and to have avoided a ceserean. We will try again with the next baby when the time comes!
I hope to get to know people on this forum, hear stories, and share stories!
Congrats on the new little one! And welcome to Mothering. Cloth diapering and new motherhood can sometimes be overwhelming. You might try it again when everything isn't so new. The diapering forum can answer lots of questions you might have about how to get the best leak free coverage out of your current diapers.

Welcome to Mothering!
Cloth diapering can be a challenge. It took me while but I went through many styles and care options before finding a fit for us. You'll get the hang of it! Good luck!

I love showing my little sweetheart (now a busy preschooler!) the world!
