If you had your period, but it was strange and you want to double check you aren't/weren't pregnant already anyway, a test should be accurate now, should have been last week too. Odd cycles after pregnancy are kind of typical though. In fact your cramping could be just from ovulation, though it's a little early for that it can happen. When your next menstruation is due would be when a test would tell you if you just this week conceived.
