I am aware that there is a strong Attachment Parenting culture that I am not a part of, but I am here to learn more and get ideas. I believe in kind, caring, and sensible parenting, which sometimes overlaps with AP. This makes me a bit of a tourist, I suppose, but I am hoping to exchange ideas, nonetheless. I am a bit nervous about offering opinions that come from someone (me) who is not steeped in any one philosophy. I don't do anything like Cry It Out (ugh - awful), but I am intimidated by the idea of a fully-attached lifestyle, with the child constantly being worn or slept with. We do partial-night co-sleeping, and I never sleep with DD for naps.

More about me - I have a 15 month old daughter, and I am a full-time, SAHM to her. I look forward to learning from you!

:wI like you'll find that many, but not all, mamas here parent with some (or a lot of) AP practices, but there are other mamas here that identify as natural family living parents, but not specifically AP, so I think you'll enjoy the diversity here. You might especially like our Toddlers and Stay At Home Parents forums, but look around because there are interesting discussions in all the forums.

Thank you! I am mostly here to troubleshoot my own parenting, and will try to zero in on a few specific topics. I also will chime in when there is something I actually know. We are fairly natural (non-toxic, largely organic, etc.) in our lifestyle, so that's a fit.

My first question - when I find the right place to post it - will be how attachment parents find time to be online! I am hard pressed to find time to email my own friends and relatives, do needed shopping and research, etc., and I am only partially AP.

Great question! I suggest posting it here. I look forward to hearing how others find time to be online.
