I used to read Mothering magazine (hard copy) when I was pregnant and looking for support around homebirthing. I always wanted to homebirth but first two children (DD, now 16 and DS1 now 12) were hospital births. I did a lot of work on myself and DS2 was a triumphant home water birth in a 'medically undeliverable' brow presentation!
Am now in a new phase of motherhood where it's all about adolescence - good to reconnect with the Mothering crowd. Looking forward to learning and growing together!
Special interests are gentle parenting, homebirth, natural householding (having a go at making my own products) and am currently gluten free. I was also vegan for a year and still incorporate a lot of what I learned in my cooking.
Am always looking to improve my family's health. I'm also a single parent so any virtual support and encouragement is warmly welcomed!
