I love your daughter's name and what it means. I think names with a background really solidify who a person is. Your daughter and her father are more likely to have a really close relationship because of the thought that went into her name; she will know who she is and where she stands. Does that make sense?
Anwyn's middle name is Irene
Anwyn (org. Anwen) is Welsh, and means "very fair" or "very beautiful". Dh and I decided while I was pg, that we needed to teach dd that she will be as beautiful as she acts and treats people, so when we found the name "Anwyn", it called to us.
Irene is a family middle name. It is my middle name, my mom's middle name, my grandmother's middle name, my great-grandmother's middle name, and so on. No one knows how far back the tradition goes, but I feel there is a special bond between those of us who carry the name, and there was never a doubt that I would continue the tradition with my daughter. It's really neat how my g-dad calls my g-mom by her middle name, and my dad does the same with my mom. I don't think my dh understands it just yet, but he will one day.
