I got my kids a computer for x-mas. My 6 year old is a non-stop question asking machine. I would like for him to be able to find the answers to some of his questions by searching the internet (he reads well but I'll help him with the spelling of his searches). What search engine would you recommend for him? I hear good things about Glubble but I'm not sure it will give him the flexibility he needs to search about ancient egypt, robotics, astronomy, etc. Any there search engines that allow for this flexibility but keep him from inappropriate sites? Has anyone used the Ask Jeeves for kids? Thanks!

If you scroll through the annotated links in my Learning, Teaching, & Online Tools page, you'll find several sites listed that I thought looked good. Start looking in the Ks (the list is alphabetized), but I think there are others in the list too. Lillian

I just ran across this page of great links when looking for an easy search engine for an elderly relative: Search Engines & Guides.
