We had 5 maple trees surrounding our home at the time we chose the name.
We wrote down a bunch of potential names and drew that one out of a hat.

Noah 14, Emma 12 , and Andrew 8
I've been thinking about this some more especially because I want/need to start up a HS blog for us just to keep me organized. I asked DH to come up with something that wouldn't make people think we were fluffy loons and he says to me "So 'Karl Marx Memorial Academy' is out?"
I was thinking because all of our kids have Tolkien middle names we could use that as a theme. It'd be nice to use Arda which is "the world" in there somewhere. Suggestions?
We were into Hitchhiker's Guide at the time, so we named it Milliways Academy... it was meaningful to us but sounded school-y enough on paper.
|Ours is Yggdrasil Academy. Yggdrasil is the World Tree, which is a symbol for the universe and everything in it, and all the connections. It reflects our religious/spiritual influences, the scope of our school (learning about the whole world, and learning everywhere), and it just sounds cool.|
