Well, if she can get online at the library, www.starfall.com
is helping my son learn to read, if she's got one that young.

Thanks...I had gotten a huge box of stuff mailed to me for free from Starfall, but I guess they aren't doing it anymore. I will have to give her some of mine I guess.
She doesn't have internet access too often right now, and I can't really afford the ink to print stuff off!!

This thread is a great idea so we've decided to make it a stickey. Please post any and all "free or close to it" homeschool links here. Or anything else that you find/found helpful. Thanks!

I think most of these sights are either encouragement or ideas, but with information about how to do free/cheap HS stuff. Some are for used/low cost curriculums. Hope they help!

I don't think there are many that teachinmaof3 hasn't already listed!

Here is a site that a fellow homeschooling mom put together. I know her, does that make me famous?

http://www.notebooking.org/

Here is on that has info on all sorts of free correspondence courses, curriculum, online learning, anything you could possibly want to learn, it has something free for it!

http://www.autodidact.net/main.asp

This is a site called "How Stuff Works" and it really does have info on how just about anything works. A great FREE resource!

http://www.howstuffworks.com/index.htm

Enjoy!

The truest answer to violence is love. The truest answer to death is life. The only prevention for violence is for the heart to have no violence within it.  We cannot prevent evil through any system devised by mankind. But we can grapple with evil and defeat it, but only with love—real love.
