Two weeks into the new year and I am not enjoying my choice for grammar for this year. I hate that the books we used the past few years does not continue with this year.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
As a side note, my ds does well with reading, phonics and grammar and really enjoys all of those

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

What are you using this year? Have you looked at First Language Lessons (a little dry and quite parent-involved, but very thorough) or Growing with Grammar (I haven't used this yet but from what I've read, it's much more student-directed)?

we use an older version of daily grams (for grades 3/4) and i find it's very appropriate for grade 3. the newer version has individual grades:

we just own the student manual & it's been fine.

it's totally easy & painless for my daughter. we just do one page a day. it's not meant to be a stand alone from what i've read online, but we love it and it seems thorough enough imho. plus, we can easily expand on any concept. hth.

We're using Simply Grammar and Daily Grams, just the student pages like elizawill. Believe it or not Simply Grammar is my 3rd grade son's favorite schoolwork right now. He is actually begging to do it more, lol. He likes it because we make silly sentences from the prompts in the book.

I really liked Easy Grammar (they also do the daily grams). I used it in 4th grade with my dd, but they start in 3rd.

We use Growing with Grammar, and my ds like it a lot. He picks that subject first every day, since he knows it will be easy for him.

We are actually a grade level behind in Grammar, but that's OK with me. We started Level 1 when ds was in 2nd grade. The Level 1 didn't seem to match up with our first grade work. In first grade, we are still just putting phonics together and learning to read. There would have been too much reading and writing in Level 1 for our first grade work.

I looked at their online store today, and they carry eight levels of Growing with Grammar.
