That's a great question! I have pulled information from various sites (avocado growers, nih.gov, etc.) and used the information as I've found a topic we've wanted to learn about. I have not found anything that is comprehensive or wholistic/organic/etc. If you find it, please post--I'd love to see it!
Anything really. I'll take what I can get. I assume that anything holistic I could find for kids would be related to nutrition which is what I was thinking originally. I'd also like some sexuality lesson plans. Herbal medicine I can do myself since I've taken courses and have lots of books on that. I make my own herbal preparations so we could do that together. However, I woudn't mind a resource for simple way to introduce some herbs to kids if there were such a resource....
Ooh, I did find these
I want these now for sure...
Hi again! I've been keeping this topic in mind as I've moved through the week...
we have this book http://www.amazon.ca/Kids-Herb-Book-Children-Ages/dp/1885003366/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325600335&sr=1-1 and I like it very much
I also love the laminated field guides about edible plants
Here is one set of info (mainstream however) with some lesson plans
In the US there is a new nutrition mantra (the plate, not the pyramid) which I haven't personally delved into
this site was good for some topic (although I used it a while ago and can't remember why...mommy brain!!!)
the Rookie guides are basic, but good
there is an ok (tolerable) dr. seuss book which is fun to read and engaging for kids
