Hi wise mamas!
My dd is sick with Lyme (for 5 months now) and we have recently pulled her out of our Waldorf School because she is too exhausted to go to school. We plan for her to be back in school within a few months, perhaps by January. So in order to make sure she keeps up we want to follow the Waldorf Curriculum (5th grade) but we don't necessarily want to invest in the whole shebang.
I have some questions:
1. Christopherus looks like a great curriculum as I can buy in pieces and it appears true to what they are going to do in school. Any thoughts on this one? Does anyone have a used syllabus they would like to get rid of?
2. Does anyone have experience with any handwriting books? My dd is left-handed and her handwriting is pretty scribbly. I have found a book called:
The "Write" Approach: Form Drawing for Better Handwriting, Book I and Book II
Any experience with this book? Or any suggestions for something else? I would like to stay close to the Waldorf approach but it doesn't have to be.
3. Are there any good forums that discuss Waldorf curriculum in particular?
Thanks so much HappyHappyMama!
I have ordered the Handwriting (book 2 only) and the Botany and Math for 5th grade from Christopherus. So far, they have been great!
