Hi everyone.

Yesterday I found out that a friend of mine was homeschooled. It reinforced my suspicion that homeschooling is good for kids.

This guy is exuberant, passionate, upright, personable, non-materialistic, free-spirited, caring, and currently a math phD student at a prestigious university.

When I think about it, everyone I've ever known that was homeschooled has been a really exceptional person who was comfortable with him/herself and generally content and productive.

All the hs'ed young adults I've know have varied greatly in their career choices but all have had firm convictions, strong family ties, and success and satisfaction in whatever they chose to do, whether that be working as a river guide/potter or a businessman or an academic. And, interestingly, they have all demonstrated unusual wisdom in the area of romantic relationships and choosing a marriage partner.

We are not at the schooling stage yet in my family but the more I think about it and read through the posts in this forum the more I'm convicted to homeschool my own kids.

Keep it up all you hs'ing moms!

My greatest hope is that in homeschooling my kids; they will grow into these kind of adults. When I think about it, my kids are already that way now
I do not want them to lose that quality!
