well they gave me one bottle of versed and it did not take. I was as lively and awake as when I got there. So they gave me another bottle. Tiny little things too lol. This time I fell asleep and they woke me up on the way into the OR ( I was to be the conscious sedation route) and I ended up staying awake. I was wide awake for the whole thing. Which actually turned out to be a good thing. The bad part was when the lidocaine wore off. I could feel the needles and the wires ALL around .OUCH. But I had a good anest. she yelled for him to STOP YOU ARE HURTING MY PATIENT. she numbed me up good and gave me fentyl. THey also had this really neat thing I wanted to bring home called a bear hug. It kept me sooo warm and toasty! Since I was awake I went through recovery and step down recovery pretty fast.
I am still fairly sore and it burns just a tad -they had to go REAALLY deep.
They had to put the lead on my pacemaker back into place. You can see it at www.medtronic.com it is the interstim.
it gave me my life back until the lead shifted. And everything else including biofeedback and homeopathy had failed.
as for dh *sigh* i prepped everything in order for him to be able to do it all lessons that is. HAHAHAHAHAH HA
But he did get some unschooling and life learning in so it wasn't a total wash after all but the other would have been better.
Will take what I can get though !
and thanks so much for asking about me in the other thread..
The importan this is that you are safe and sound. I'm glad to hear that you made it through your surgery safely- I was thinking abiut you (and that you hubby survived a day of homeschooling LOL)
I laughed when I read that your dh "did get some unschooling and life learning...." I assume you meant for your kid's benefit, but it sounds like HE received a little bit of education while you were gone! As I'm so sure he did!
