The announcement about the "Love to Learn" conference reminded me that some of you on the western side of the country might like to know about the HomeSchool Association of California's big "Getting from Here to There" conference coming this month. Lillian

17th Annual HSC
Home=Education Conference
"Getting From Here to There"
August 16-19, 2007
at the Radisson Hotel,
Sacramento, California

Keynotes are Cafi Cohen, Sandra Dodd, & Mary Griffith. The program is packed with wonderful talks, workshops for all ages, panel discussions, round table discussions, and lots of fun family activities.

"The HSC Conference is renowned for being many conferences in one. The Conference features a full slate of diverse activities for adults, teens, and all ages of kids. The teen program is completely built and run by homeschooled teens. This year we have greatly expanded our offerings for young children and are pulling together a fantastic collection of hands-on family learning activities that are sure to help you connect within your family to the homeschooling community as a whole.

Whether you are new to homeschooling or have been doing it for years, whether you are a young child, a preteen, a teen, a parent, or a grandparent there will be so much waiting for you at this year's conference! Our theme this year is Getting From Here to There, and focuses on our quest to educate our children from the early years through the high school and college years. We'll also talk about life after homeschooling, and even grandparenting!"
