All this math talk got me thinking... We're finishing up Enki Grade 2 this fall. mangopassion: What do you like about Singapore math?
Other math curriculums people love? How do they compare?

Just to throw it out there, you won't want to sell your 2nd grade when you're done would you?

Does anyone have suggestions for math games? We're using Enki Grade 2(we're on Jan to Jan schedule) and we've introduced place values fact families... I'm looking for pre-made games that would help with cementing those concepts.

I just turned 36. I was out running errands this morning, listening to Spring Awakening and mourning the fact that my teens and twenties are far behind me.

Have you seen fact triangles? Not terribly exciting, but they do help drive home the connection between related facts. We also like to draw little houses and copy the families into the same home.

I was thinking of this thread the other day! Although I was also wondering if we wanted a shiny new thread for the shiny new year...

glad to see this one bumped - we are doing well, working a letter each week along with whatever else strikes our fancy - this coming week is E. we also look for the different letters whenever we are out, we bake cookies in that weeks letter every monday, etc. we are enjoying it!
