Some friends and I are about to launch what I hope will become an annual homechool science fair in our city. I’m compiling a list of links to send to parents that will help in choosing a question for the kids to investigate, stepping back to let the kids do their own thinking, and encouraging age-appropriate research. We’re going to ask kids to use the scientific method only, so no bug collections, volcano models, etc unless they involve a question, hypothesis, experiment, results, conclusion. I’m finding that a lot of the “science project” web sites are Google link vehicles, and I’m hoping to find some great link resources from other parents. If you’ve found a link useful in helping your child think critically and independently, or conduct experiments, design displays, etc, I am looking for your personal recommendations! Thank you in advance.
