I haven't heard any actual reviews...but I did go online a while back after I first heard about it and liked what I saw...my DS actually did the lesson with me and he really liked it and actually answered the questions...it's something I may be looking into once we really start schooling...so I am interested to hear what those who HAVE used it have to say!

...it is nothing like school, and we are never at home...so why is it called homeschooling?

We use it and my son loves it. It's visual and funny (in a 6-year old boy sort of way ) and he really enjoys it. We had ordered through the homeschool buyers co-op and it was well worth the money.

WOHM to DS11 and DD9, both T1Ds

you can read a few reviews at www.homeschoolreviews.com i'm sure it's as good as all the others, yk? we don't use it, but my top choices were headsprout, studydog, or explode the code online. i ended up choosing headsprout, but if readingeggs existed then and was a complete program, i would have probably bought that.

here's a 10% coupon code for click-n-kids:

Click N Kids Coupon Code: Phonics10

I looked at the free trial, and it seemed really cool. My son wanted to do another one. LOL! If you buy it, let us know what you think!

Well, I did buy it ! I followed the link to the coop from the readingeggs thread, and decided to look around at what group buys they had going....saw clickn' read and tried the sample lesson with 5-yo DS sitting next to me (on the couch in Little Bro's hospital room....see the appendicitis thread ....

http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=952296

and he was interested in it, so I joined and bought it !!!

He has been enjoying Starfall and really likes to work independently on the computer. He has also been learning a lot from the Leapfrog Letter Factory DVD, and I wanted something that was more structured than Starfall for him but that he could use independently and without needing to do writing at the same time he did reading. Clickn' Read looked perfect and he really likes outer-space themed things. So, after we've been using it awhile, I'll share how it's working for us

Awesome! I can't wait to hear more about your experience with it! My son loves Starfall as well, and is still appropriate for his age...but I worried about the day we "outgrew" it b/c he loves it so much...but hopefully you will give me great news about this program and I won't have too far to look

I bought it and my boys liked it at first. They preferred Headsprout, though. I preferred the Click n Read price tag.

We kept it about a week or so and my boys were so bored. I canceled my membership. They really like Reading Eggs, but I have since started them on Headsprout. I wanted a phonics program instead of whole language.

They really like Headsprout.
