Erika, didn't you know that you're not allowed to join this thread unless you've read everything that preceeded it?
:LOL Just kidding, welcome back! I can't speak for anyone else, but I've missed you!

Anyone have any New Year resolutions that they would care to share? I only have one, I want to cook most of the food that my family eats from scratch this year. |
Wow that sounds cool. I've always wanted to do stuff like that. I also have a burning desire to learn to do things with wool, like take care of a sheep, shear it, card and comb the wool and then spin it into thread for weaving or yarn for knitting. Crazy, I know, especially since I"m not a huge animal person, but I really have this crazy urge to learn. It's not likely to happen, though, because I live in a city, but maybe one day, for some unknown reason, someone will give me a bag of wool and teach me to spin.
I'm unlikely to cook anything from scratch, because we don't really have counterspace or a freezer, and we've got a fridge the size of a postage stamp.
Mike and I talked about what we want to accomplish this year. I would like to start making music again, either in a community orchestra or a choir. Singing will be a lot of work for me now, though; I've discovered that my weight has made it difficult for me to keep my voice where I want it to be.
So I've got to work on that, too. I've already started my secular homeschoolers group (our second meeting is tomorrow! yay!) and that's going well. I think I'd like to read more, but other than that...
Mike wants to find a church. We have a Friend's Meeting around the corner from us, so if they're still up and running (I'm starting to wonder
) we'll go on Sunday morning. It seems like a very good fit for Mike's religious beliefs.
Moreover, I think I can live with that being my children's introduction to Christianity.
Speaking of which, my SIL has overstepped her bounds again. Today, BeanBean told me "I had fun plaing with aunt SIL. She says Jesus loves me!"

Mike needs to sit her down and have
a talk, because I will not tolerate her sneaking around behind our backs like that!
