So who else is going to the conference at the end of this month? I know there are tons of MDC/LLL members hanging out here.

There's the page link to conference information, Girly.

I'll be there with my stroller which I feel very wimpy about. But I had back surgery in January and my belly is getting bigger so I got a medical dispensation from LLL which was HARD to ask about for me.

Jen, I'm not going to be selling anything there but we can work something out. LMK what you want and I can mail them to you after the conference.

Have never been to a LLL Conference before. I was hoping to come just for the day on Saturday. Can I just come and register onsite Saturday morning. Does anyone know? Will be bringing dd who is 4 1/2. Do you think she will be able to do kids activities?

You can register on site. Your dd will be welcome to do the kids activities as long as she is registered and you or another adult is with her.

OMG, the conference was so awesome! The classes were great and it was so nice to meet so many cool mamas. I volunteered Friday night and spent hours talking to leaders who have been doing this *almost* as long as I've been alive! Too cool!

And the best part (for me) was winning the Plymouth/Canton's theme basket It it so beautiful! Now I just have to learn to knit!
Easy peasy, right Stephanie?!?

I for sure spotted a few familiar faces from MDC but couldn't connect names with faces. Especially in the toddler session!

Yeah, I'm in for next year for sure! I was a little bummed we didn't stay at the hotel and get the full effect from the pj party and everything else, but it was a blast none the less.
I'll bring my outlines to the next coffee and we can chat about it.

Michelle!

I remember Carter! I think my DD took something from him. :LOL
Although, I think she took something from every child there at some point during the Toddlers workshop.

I'm Pauline's mom. She was the one in the aquarium wool longies who would not sit still to save MY life.

I had a fabulous time at the conference. 3 of the 4 sessions I went to were excellent. The last one for me was rather boring and I thought, pointless but the shopping! I am so in love with Tree City Diapers. That WAHM rocks!

I was there so I'm sure I saw some of you. Next year should be really fun because it will be further away from the Detroit area - that way it's a multi-day sleep-over adventure. (My husband was disappointed it was so close this year because he had a good time going to the one last year.)

Another great conference.

I got to spend a bit of time with Michelle and had lunch with curious but felt like I was running mad most of the time.

I am already looking forward to the conference next year. We can plan a Detroit area mamas get together on Friday night.

Hi! I'm the mom who was in front of you during the first session! DD was the cranky 2 yo who didn't want to share her doll.

Again, I LOVED the soaker!!

Next time, we should all have tee shirts printed up that says something like "I'm _____ from MDC." Then we'd be able to find each other ! :LOL

Deirdre, DH likes LLL conferences but is skeptical about cohousing? I'm baffled! :LOL

Jessica, your daughter did a great job sharing her doll! My DD was very grabby all weekend. It felt like she thought every toy there was meant solely for her, even if another child was holding it! She was completely overstimulated by everyone and everything there. But it was fun watching her watch everyone else.

My friend and I were admiring your DD, Jessica. She has the cutest hair - just like YOU! I remember saying to Renee, that woman has a cute kid and great hair. Why can't I do that?? :LOL

How'd I miss this discussion...I was the one all in black at the toddler meeting, with an opinion on everything. The one who does talking objects at home - so at work I say things like, I borrowed your stapler, and now it wants to come home to you!

I enjoyed the people I met there but the idea of an MDC teeshirt is good, it would have helped me connect people with screen names. Though I would need a nursing t-shirt since I never mastered nursing without my stomach freezing any other way.
