Carol - we're in Syracuse but travel to Murray for our pediatrician. Who do you use?! I run an AP group and a lot of the mamas there are always looking for someone friendly.

Hey everyone,

I noticed no one has posted in a while, but I'm newly preg in Logan, and could use any suggestions of CNMs or OBs you'd recommend.

Kritto, there aren't many options when it comes to CNM's in Logan. I went to Cache Valley Women's Center with my pregnancy over a year ago. At the time, they had two CNM's, but one moved. I don't know if they've gotten a second one again, but last I heard Deborah Flansburg was the only one there. She's okay, though I think she falls more under the category of "med-wife". I liked Celeste much better. My friend, who's a doula, saw Deb for her two pregnancies, and she likes her. I'd also highly recommend Dr. Kirkman at CVWC, and Dr. Fowers is okay, too. Stay away from Noorda, though. I've heard good things about Dr. Horsely, too. Another friend of mine saw Dr. Isaacson for her pregnancy. He's a FP, and she really liked him. He scores in my book because he told her straight out that he doesn't perform episiotomies unless absolutely necessary (she kind of wanted one, lol). She ended up with a little tear, but now agrees that tears are preferable to episiotomies... Anyway, hth. Good luck!

BTW, have any of you Logan ladies been to Sweet Pea's? I love it!

Yes, I love Sweet Peas. I keep mentioning it to people - really hoping they stick around.

Thanks for the suggestions. I keep hearing great things about Dr. Kirkman - hopefully I can get in to see him.

Sweet Peas is a health food store, opened at the end of February. It's on Center Street, just west of Main, in Logan.
