Well, there you go, guys...my senior title...Fitting, no?
Speaking of Rays of Sunshine...who'd like one?
This morning, I leave Paul with Joey and go to Starbucks to get some coffee. (Dunkin Donuts is closer, but Starbucks has fair trade coffee.
) I brought Baxter with me, this is his big outing every week, going with mommy for coffee
I get home and Paul and Joey are sitting on the bed; she's playing with his phone and he's obviously enjoying the heck out of it. Once I got home, though, Joey was no longer content to sit on the bed with Daddy. She wanted to play with her blocks. I know this because she started swatting at the phone, trying to "knock it down" like she does to the block towers that me and mom make
So, off we go to the playroom/nursery/whatever the heck you wanna call it. I lay a blankie on the floor and start playing with the blocks. Now, these are nice sturdy plastic blocks, man. And Jo's pretty new to the whole sitting up thing. So, you have to watch her. I do a good job. My mom, who is addle-brained does a good job.
So, why is it that when I call Paul in to play with her for five minutes while I take a phone call, she's fallen and smacked her head on a block within ten seconds?
The man can run his own business, but can't keep his daughter from landing on a piece of freaking plastic. ARGH.
Now she doesn't wanna play with Daddy anymore...anyone wonder why?

Of course, everyone is totally excited, because Grandma and Grandpa (my parents) are coming to watch her tonight while Paul and I go to an evening Christmas party. Well, I'm not too excited. This is the first time I"ll be leaving her with anyone when I was going more than, like, five minutes away. I'm fairly nervous, in fact.
My dad, however....over the moon and so excited, it makes me grin.
They'll just have to deal with me calling every ten minutes to make sure she's okay.
And I'm fairly certain I'll have another RoS for y'all tomorrow.
