Well, hopefully
he'll be released to our custody tomorrw. I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance to see if they'll cover this dual tratment program that was reccomended from the facility that I went to. They treat the psychological dependance that I have on MJ (which I really do, to help me with my Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, my Depression, etc.) as well as the actual PTSD and Depression, and to help prevent Postpartum Depression. I'm at HIGH risk for it since I already have mild depression.
My mom just said that she doesn't care what adults do, and once the investigation is closed, it's our business. But, what involves the baby is everyone's business, and I know that unless it's legal before he is, I'm just giving it up. Honestly, I think that a household where MJ is present is less harmful than one where Alcohol is present, it's not up to me. It's up to the man....
And damn the man!!!!!
Little man is so sweet. My mom has really shocked me with how she is with him. She doesn't really like kids, and was giving me a lot of hassle when I was preg with him. Remember, she wanted me to get an abortion.....
Now, she calls him her 'Pumpkin Head' and he's been sleeping in his bassinet in the living room with her, so that if he wakes up and just needs the diaper changed, she can do that and I can get some sleep. She'll probably be going home on Mon or Tues, though.
I was surprised that I didn't get pressured more with the Hep B vaccine. I told them that I'd be getting it in the Dr's office (Which I WON'T). And, each time I went into the nursery, I told whichever nurse it was that he wasn't getting Circ'd, and just wanted to make sure they knew that. One nurse smiled from EAR to EAR when I told her. That was the one nurse who was cool, and did help me with BFing. She even brought him to my room the last night that we were there when it was time to eat, so that we could at least try.
Not that he was hungry....
But, things are going well, and he's waking up. I'll post a few more pictures later mamas.
Thanks for the support, and really, there's nothing that can be done at this point. I thought that they only tested Medicaid paitents, and since I have private insurance, I didn't think it would be a problem. Oh well, though....
That's what I get for thinking, right?
