we have the 2nd bug on the way (due in march) and i *think* i want to get some part time help... i'm so torn on this issue, but ultimately think having someone for a couple days a week would be pretty useful. anyway, i'm putting feelers out with my IRL friends and thought this might be a good place to ask too...

if you don't have any specific recommendations, suggestions on where to look would also be helpful!

tia!

I'm guessing from your user name you're in brklyn. Not sure where, but in Williamsburg, there are bulletin boards at a couple of places and the kids clothing store Sam and Seb keeps a file of area sitters. I have a good friend of mine that lives in the neighborhood watching Gav a couple of days a week. Its been working out great for us, but I know how hard it is to find someone. I agonized over it for weeks.
Good luck!

I went to NYU and at their career center they always had tons of babysitting jobs listed there---I got tons of babysitting gigs that way A lot of NYU students don't live in the dorms either, so you might find someone really local to ya.

Oh, I see jetsmom recommended NYU already
