Summerland,
I'd check out their websites for prices. You could register without buying anything.
We are with SPUD, and probably soon to drop them and go to the local farmer's market, until the weather gets cold. I totally understand your desire! Spud is changing some of their stock, so are doing a sale right now on all their books (I think), and some toys, plus some food. I know they aren't 'cheap', but they are worth it -- for home delivery.
Actually, I can give you a code to get $25 off (in total) from your first 4 deliveries ($10, $5, $5, $5). When you register, give them the promo code: CR5-306898. If you need my name, private message me.

there is an organic food share on adelaide north of oxford which we used to be members of. ina white building, around the back: good selction, on the pricey side, and poor hours for the two of us working shift work. but if it were closer maybe we would have stuck with them longer.

the green market basket is a collective food purchasing group established in 1995. they buy from local organic farmers, wholesalers, and small businesses. it's a good deal, and you don't have to go far to pick it up. my pick up is three blocks away. it's run through lifespin - a small social service agency. check out their web site at www.lifespin.com and click through programs, then food security, then green market basket.

sorry if this sounded like an ad but it has been good to us. and we are eating alot more organic fresh and yummy things.

good luck!
