xpost because I accidentally put the original post under "finding your tribe"

I didn't know if I should post this here or in the breastfeeding thread, but thought the title might get more traffic here.

I feel sheepish asking, but I am getting desperate. We are relocating to NC in a few weeks. I was wondering if there might be a kind mama who has some spare freezer space and could accept a morning shipment of my breastmilk stash (about 400 oz). I don't know how to get it there without risking it partially thawing since we are coming from the west coast and it would have to be on dry ice for at least 24 hours. I EP and have almost always had an inadequate supply for DD, so it is especially precious to me. If anyone can help, please let me know. I would be eternally grateful.

Oh man, I would love to help but my freezer is teeny tiny and packed to the gills. There's GOT to be a mama 'round here who has the freezer space. When are y'all getting here?

sounds like you may be covered, but if not, let me know how much space it takes up. I have some room in the freezer but I don't have a good idea of the volume you are talking about.

let us know when you get here!

you can also try to contact the milk bank at wake med in raleigh. i'm sure they would be happy to hold it temporarily for you, and they are very familiar with the shipping process, etc.

just an idea.

welcome. we look forward to meeting you

well hello miss melanie! Hadn't been on here in a while and then saw your post (*cough* nc.com *cough*). If you still need help I'm in the Triangle and have a chest freezer in our garage as well. Let me know but if you're looking to find other people of the same mindset PM me and I'll get you info that will set you for your arrival.

Plus I'd love to finally meet Audrey and you.
