i am loving this!
"watching" the game online the other night there were roars from all around our neighborhood pouring out all the windows. and then i'd start pressuring the computer, "refresh! refresh, already! what happened?"

dd wore her little cap all day today.
whooppeeee!

i lived in boston a few years ago, and though i never was a sox fan, my daughter was born during the series, just before they won in 2004. my poor family was caught in the T under the parade trying to get in from the airport. do you remember how crazy it was? now i have a little son, too, so maybe my children's births are somehow connected to them winning? '04 and '07?

I actually don't watch much sports, but I was watching the playoffs in 04, and when they won it, I thought, damn, maybe I'm pregnant (if the sox can go to the series, anything can happen!) Lo and behold, I was, with DS. Now them being in the series again is making me nervous that I could be preggo again too. LOL.

I just came to MDC to post a 'Any Sox fans?' thread - I am a rabid fan and am always looking for people of like mind.

As much as I have been LOVING this postseason, I need some sleep. The game was still on at 12:45 last night (this morning I guess) when I finally went to bed, and the kids were still up at 5:30. I've been running on fumes (and coffee) for weeks. I need a break.

But man, I love me some Sox. I think Ellsbury and Varitek are so hot. This has just been a great year.

Thanks for the thread!

Yeah! Who invited the Yankee fan?

Just kidding. Everyone is welcome to our thread, as long as they are Sox fans.

Jordan's right! I wish I'ld had known (I mean about Jordan's promotion... not the Sox winning the Series, 'cause we know they will!!)

Yeah... we bought a cheap sofa and an expensive mattress when I was pg with DS2 (for my huge body's comfort) and didn't really pay attention to the promotion... I mean, it was March, for crying out loud! What an awesome bonus this is going to be!!!

We have a black lab mix named Fenway - we got her in April of '04, so dh thinks that's why the Sox won. Thankfully we didn't get another puppy this year, and we're still doing ok. I love my dogs, but I'd hate to think I'd need to get another one every year to keep the Sox winning.

I love the name Jacoby. I like me some David Ortiz too- I always fantasize about him when I'm preggers and have those hormonal issues.

Take care! And GO SOX!

It's sad, and a little scary, how much my happiness is tied in to the Red Sox. I am so excited!

And thrilled I can get some sleep this week!

I found myself weepy for Johnny. His hair, that smile... He sold his soul. He would have loved last night.

It's hard to imagine we won again. My whole Boston self was finely tuned to being a loser...

Yay!! My very lucky friends now wil getting back 10,000 from Jordan's furniture. Jordan's must have a huge insurance policy!
FYI: for those of you who are not in the know, Jordans did a promo for a short amount of time if the red sox won the world series your purchase was on them. and my friends purchases fell in the time line. I am never that lucky.

I almost feel sorry for the rockies, I mean, I feel like we should have given them a mercy win, you know? It was just cruel, how we completely crushed them. Aw, what am I saying? Bwahahaha
