We are back home in Milwaukee (and so thrilled) but we have to find a new midwife. (Our last child was born in TN.)

Right now I have an appt. to meet with Deb Studey after chatting w/ her on the phone. I've talked w/ Jan Wolfenberg on the phone. The other person I'm considering is Christy Gogan but I haven't called her yet.

Honestly, I am so tired right now that the thought of interviewing multiple midwives just defeats me before I start. I want one to fall into my lap, lol.

If you've had a negative experience, you could share that in a PM if you wish.

I have experience with a few midwives--Jan, Lucky and with my current pregnancy, Christy.

You mentioned meeting with Jan and Christy and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. My experience with Jan was limited to a few hours the night of ds' birth (as Lucky's assistant) but we were very happy with her experience and her care.

Christy is our current midwife and we are thrilled to be working with her, our whole pregnancy experience has been nothing but great. I am 100% sure we made the right choice for our homebirth.

You didn't mention Lucky and I am not sure if she is still practicing or assisting Jan but if she is and you would like to know more about our experience with her feel free to drop me a PM.

mommy to ds 11/05, dd1 01/08, and dd2 01/10!

Please do keep any negatives to PM rather than posting to the thread. Thanks!

I had Deb Studey as my midwife and I think she's terrific. I'm PM'ing you.
