I'm trying to find a GOOD homeopath somewhere east of the Durham/Chapel Hill area. Closer to the coast is better, but I'll drive to see one who knows what s/he is doing. Is there anyone you would recommend? Thanks!

Our family practice office in Cary has a doctor of naturopathy, who is experienced with natural and homeopathic remedies. Granted homeopathy is my "second language" and definitely NOT my area of expertise - I'm an MD by training, so I practice more traditional allopathic medicine - but we've collaborated in caring for patients, and I've found her to be a terrific resource. She is also pursuing licensure in acupuncture, and is certified in Bowen's therapy.

We are, however, nowhere near the coast, sorry.

You might want to contact a doula named Michelle McClafferty - she uses homeopathy a lot for her family and is a great resource. I'm sure if there is a good homeopathy practicioner in this area, she will know. You can contact her through her website: http://www.betterbirthpartners.com

I've always heard really good things about Susan Delaney in Carrboro if you want to drive this far. I've not used her myself, but have heard rave reviews from friends. She's been doing it a long time in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. I think she's part of the Wellness Alliance.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'll check them out. I would, of course, prefer someone a little closer, but I know some homeopaths will do phone or internet consultations. I'd just like to be able to meet in person first.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks again!
