I am moving in the fall from Oxford area to Germany. Does anyone know of a car rental company that will let you do a one way rental?
I have tried a few companies, but have had no joy finding one that will let us do a one way rental to the continent.
I know this is not a typical subject, but though maybe some other UK mamas have advice?

I doubt any of them will allow it or if they do it will be super expensive. Can you fly over? maybe have a friend drive the car back?

I think Europcar off Botley Road in Oxford do this. We have rented cars from them before and their search page has pick up country and return country so it might be worth a try.

we also considered hiring a car for a move from the Netherlands to Ireland, but after getting quotations from ca 11 hiring companies, including Europcar, we drove by our own car and my husband returned to sell it at home.
The prices for hiring were incredible high, starting at 2000E plus petrol, plus ferry etc and we even had a good rebate.
If your move is paid you will definitive find some of the bigger European car rental companies at help.

Good luck!
