DP and I are planning a vacation in late September to Portland and Seattle and all points in between or reasonably afield. We plan on two or three days in each of the cities, with the remaining time spent making day trips from either city. Both of us want to go look at the Willamette valley, the coastline, Mt. Rainier, and possibly the Peninsula.

What should we just NOT MISS?
We're not really hikers, lol. We like to eat, and drink, and see beautiful things. I hear they're in no shortage around there. He's never been up that way at all; I've been to Seattle twice and to Portland once, with a stop at Mt. Rainier. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Multnomah Falls is right there on the gorge and is beautiful. Further South in the valley is Silver Falls...has 10 water falls and includes some easy hikes. That's all I have right now. Enjoy your vacation!

The Cascade Loop is gorgeous, Washington Pass is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It takes a couple of days to drive it, but it is amazing. I highly recommend it, but I'm biased because I live there. Really though Washington Pass is awesome. HTH.
