Gaston and Cook have been together for 16 years.... Their union was blessed in church nine years ago, but until now they have been unable to marry legally. All that changes, though, on December 21 this year, when the civil partnership bill becomes law. And their wedding, in a joint ceremony with two male couples at a minute after midnight on that day, will see them make what they regard as a historic step forward for same-sex couples throughout the UK.

I have my suspicions that it is dictionary definition #1:

Quote:
Any of several weedy plants, especially the corn cockle.
But , it could even be the "idiom" entry:

This is quite an old dictionary, & the source it quotes is from 1669 - the idiom is used generally these days.

Everyone in my theater got it. Dang...I embarass myself sometimes. I really am not *trying* to be loud..it just comes out that way.

So yeah I cracked up and said something about Bush being a Sith but apparently it was loud.

COMPLETELY O/T

Abimommy - you can come and yell at movies with me anytime!! And my dh - you should have heard his irritating commentary about the hair styles on Padme. I almost moved away!

V.

p.s. when we saw the first SW movie my DH's grandpa was there and commented very loudly on the "negro on the jedi council". I could have just died. I hate that man and am so glad we no longer associate with him.
