What's been ignored by mainstream media?
http://www.projectcensored.org/censored_2006/index.htm

Most of the stories have been covered here, but that's because we rock.

Got to kick this up, because this information is so very important.

I'm surprised that the mountaintop removal mining has been ignored even after a feature in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC.

And the GlaxoSmithKline using children as gineau pigs is completely ignored!!!! :

I think the reason the first issue gets ignored is that the people affected are perceived by members of the MSM as backwards, poor, ignorant hicks who aren't worthy of their time: These people are a million miles away from the MSM's point of reference. Kids from those areas don't end up reporting for national dailies or TV, usually because they can't afford the big name universities or the unpaid internships that getting those sort of positions requires. (Speaking as a West Virginia native who planned to become a journalist, this is an issue with which I have a great deal of familiarity.)

A couple years ago, a boulder from a MRM site in Virginia rolled down a mountain and crushed a toddler as he slept, with his older brother in the next bed. Didn't see that one get any play on the national news, except perhaps the Washington Post. Nor do you hear about the toxic waste released into waterways, the massive flooding caused by the lack of vegetation on the mountains, or the "reclaimed" sites that become golf courses and summer homes instead of forest.

Sad but true. They can't have an eco-friendly windfarm within the sights of the Kennedy compound, but they can destroy an entire mountain range.

CrazyRED, I'd marry you, but who'd wear the tinfoil wedding gown?

Plus an excellent feature in Vanity Fair, and also one in O magazine. Yep. O Magazine. As a life-long West Virginian, I had no idea it was as bad as it is in the southern part of my state. I'm trying to figure out exactly what I can do to stop it.

Kinky, but I'm game.

But can we have an RFID free wedding? --- No gifts from Amazon.
