I had off and on (several hours of ctx per day) pre-labor with DD for about 3 weeks before she was born at 40 weeks 6 days. It was exhausting and emotionally grueling.

So, here I am at 36 weeks and I was awake for 2 hours last night with painful (not excruciating, but enough to keep me awake) ctx 6 minutes apart and lasting about 45 seconds each. I am so worried that this is the start of prodromal labor again (only 2 weeks sooner than it began last time).

Am I doomed to endure 5 weeks of this? Tell me some good news- even if you have to lie!

Maybe she'll be born early! 39 weeks, say?

Unless you aren't ready. In which case, I have had similar 'false' labor, where it lasts for a few hours and then entirely subsides, but it DEFINITELY isn't daily and it went away with a lot of water and a cal/mag supplement. And knocking my caffeine habit a bit....

I am going to lie then: I was NOT in prodromal labor for 4 weeks...

Hang in there
It sucks, but it will soon be over
