I gave birth to my surrogate daughter today at 12:48pm EST in her parent's dining room in the birthing pool. She weighs 8lbs 4oz and is 21.25". Labor was probably about 8.5 hours total. She latched on like a pro and nurses great. The new parents are just over the moon in love with her!

I'll post a longer birth story and some pics in a few days when I get home.

Trish~mama to Kaelie 5/03 and Amelia 12/13, surro mama to Aidan 2/08 & Ellyss 6/09,

Congrats to everyone!!!

I am curious how BFing goes when you have a surro? You say she nurses well... are you planning on continuing giving her breastmilk? (You don't have to answer if it's too personal)

She probably is going to pump and give the milk to the baby once she goes home and will nurse when she sees the baby to drop off milk. I think that is what she did with the last one and that is what I did with the surrogate kids. Trish is lucky though that she is close by, I had to pump and ship.

Congratulations on the baby.
