Hi Everyone -- I'm a little late since we just moved and have been without DSL for a week. You think labor was bad? Try living without internet and phone the week you have a baby! LOL

Anyway, my water broke early Tuesday morning and my daughter was born that same day (June 16) at 1:51pm. She was posterior, which meant 12 hours of agonizing back labor. Nonetheless, I somehow managed a natural, drug-free delivery (even though I am not ashamed to admit that I was crying and begging for drugs in transition!) Did not get them and I am so glad now.

Eilis is pronounced EYE-liss and she was 8lbs 5oz and 19.5" long. She is doing beautifully. Nursing like a pro and I am trying to stay off my feet -- as much as I can with a 4YO in the house, too.

And don't feel bad about begging for drugs! I did so and my labor was 1 and 1/2 hours! You sound like you did GREAT!!!! Way to go!

yay Mama ! As a fellow posterior birther...I totally get it...I have had two posterior babies now, and they seem to take the title "spinning babies" literally...they didn't care that such and such positions were supposed to move them and keep them anterior... Anyhow, they were both MUCH harder to deliver than my anterior baby, even though they were all close to the same size.
Her name is just beautiful !
