My 8 year old DS with Aspergers made it through his PTA program!!! I'm so proud of him I could just pop!!

He's in 2nd grade and this year I made sure the school had all his supports in place- we briefed him on what to expect, and had his social skills group waiting for him to transition him back to he classroom away from me- HE DIDN'T NEED THEM! He went back alone before the group even got there! He was ready and raring to go.

He got up on that stage and did his thing, he knew all the motions and all the words and I just wanted to cry I was so happy for him.

Last year, he spent all of his 1st grade program in my lap crying because his horrible teacher would not help him transition away from me. He *wanted* to be up there but he just couldn't do it.

What he did tonight, all by himself is so huge, so incredible. I'm just so proud of my guy!!

When he came off stage he started to cry. He said he was so happy and proud of himself.

So I just had to share, for him. He's so awesome!!

for sharing this with me. I'm still so happy, and he was so thrilled with how well he did. I know that one night has done wonders for his self confidence.

I just want to shout it from the rooftops! He did it!! :LOL

Thank you all!
