What is the age cut-off date for your Waldorf school's entry into 1st grade?

Currently, Seattle Waldorf is at 6 by April 1st to enter 1st grade the coming school year. April and May birthdays are considered on a case by case situation. I have heard that other schools have June 1st dates.

My son's second grade class had some transfers from other schools so the oldest child is 14 months older than the youngest child. I often wonder if we should change our date to June 1st so there will less of a spread in ages.

How does it work at your school?

It is the end of July for The Waldorf School of Baltimore, but they look closely at June and July birthdays. I can't imagine cutting it off in April! My dd's birthday is in May and she was so clearly ready for first grade. She would be so bored staying in kindergarten again.

Our school doesn't have a set date at all. I think just about all April, May, and June birthdays are evaluated on a case by case basis.
