Had my second ultrasound today, and saw a healthy heartbeat! I thought I was 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant today, but the baby is measuring at 5 weeks and 5 days, which probably explains why my first ultrasound, 12 days ago, showed NADA. Of course, that was very worrisome at the time, but now it turns out I am just less pregnant than I thought :-)

Hooray! What a relief for you!

Sounds like you are about as far along as I think I am.

Here's a math and biology riddle for those who are good at this sort of thing.

My last period started October 4. My periods are generally 30-33 days in length, though some have been 28 days.

I got a positive home pregnancy test - very faint - on November 2.

The perinatologist began monitoring my HCG on November 4. Beginning reading was 49. It rose and doubled appropriately over the next 10 days.

I had an ultrasound on November 14. There was only the beginning of a gestational sac, and a thickened endometrium. No sign of embryo yet.

I had an ultrasound today (November 26). The baby has a heartbeat, ood (YAY!) and looks good, and they gave me a due date by ultrasound of July 23. That's 10 days later than the date I get when using my LMP as the benchmark. Using the ultrasound due date, this means I conceived on October 28! There is no way I got a positive home test 4 days later!

So who wants to hazard a guess? When did I ovulate and conceive this baby? I am stumped ;-)

Your dates are very similar to mine. My LMP was on 10/7. I have very short cycles - 22 - 24 days, and almost always ovulate on day 10. I expected my period on Halloween, tested positive on 11/2. By using my LMP to date my pregnancy, I'm due around July 11. I have a scheduled ultrasound next week, so we'll see what the OB has to say. So my guess for you is that I'd peg you very close to me, within 4 days.

No guesses, but I'd say let the dr think you're due later than you probably actually are. It could buy you some time at the end if you go "over."
