Just wanted to explode with relief!:

I don't know why the doctor didn't tell me to fast before the 1 hr test. I had the test in the afternoon and had forgotten about it. I had lunch about an hour or two before and THEN guzzled the sugary drink; my results came back 135 (just past the cut-off at 134) and got called back to do the 3 hour test yesterday (which is really a 4 hour test). I passed it with ease!

I can understand why the test is flawed. Wish I didn't have to get stuck with so many needles!

Yay Congrats! : That's stupid that they made you re-test when you were just past the cut-off point, especially knowing that you hadn't fasted.

I just found out I passed mine too! Yay no GD!

That's great news. I am also suprised that they had you take the 3 hour test when you were only 1 point past the cut off point.

YAY!!!!! I passed too, although I'm apparently anemic and need to take iron supplements. But that is SO minor compared to the blood sugar thing that I can't complain.

: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :

I have my 3 hr. tomorrow at 10 am, send me some of your wonderful passing vibes. I am doing the 12 hr fast, but I also ate breakfast right before my 1 hr. so I'm hoping it was a false positive too.

CONGRATS AGAIN!!

They told me I was allowed to eat breakfast before the 1-hr, just that I should avoid carbs / sugar. For the 3 hour I know you have to fast.

Yeah, it all makes more sence now. I had a big bowl of cherrios w/ strawberries on it. Oh well. I am thinking good thoughts on tomorrows 3 hr.
