With my daughter, I barely let DH go to work. But with this pregnancy, I have NO desire at all. DH is understanding and doesn't push it, but it sucks for both of us. I just don't know what the deal is, generally I have a VERY healthy drive, so I am really confused by this. I've never not wanted it this much. I'm not even sure we have done it every month since the start of this pregnancy... I'm totally lost. Is anyone else dealing with this??:

I tend to oscillate between wanting to claw his clothes off for a few days and then being completely uninterested for days or weeks. It's a good thing he loves me! lol

Honestly I have no idea if there's anything that can really be done. I've found that when I'm not interested in intercourse I can still be interested in other things. I'm trying not to be too graphic here but the intimacy and connection I feel with him outside of sex is translating to a greater interest in sexual contact that isn't intercourse. It seems to be working for us, but I happen to be married to a very amazing man, IMO.

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose interest is less than it once was!

Sarah. Married to my Mirus, raising my DD1 (Aug. '09) and my DD2 (March '11) and waiting for my newest (April '14)!

I am the opposite. Last pregnancy I wouldn't let DH anywhere near me. From about 3 months until this past two weeks, I was wearing him out. Now I am starting to get uncomfortable, so we are slowing back down.

Oh my, I am so not interested either. I have been dreaming all the time about having sex though. But I wake up and am not interested at all. I am being patient and am waiting for the drive to kick in. Last pregnancy it was in the last 2-3 months. Last month was amazing. Cant wait for that!

The short answer is pregnancy hormones do all sorts of crazy things and every pregnancy is different... Not that I expect that to make you feel much better. Personally, I find that if we go too long between, then I'm LESS interested. You might find that simply doing it, even though you don't start off really wanting it, will leave you more and more interested as time goes on.

My interest level has done a bit of waxing and waning this pregnancy - lower when I was exhausted and nauseous all the time, higher as I hit the second trimester, but nothing really that far off from normal. I'm already getting big and awkward with sex Between my big belly, and the positions I can comfortably be in without making it hard to breathe, and then all of my wonky pregnancy sensitivities (my breast can be hyper sensitive which can go from really good to really bad in no time flat, etc), it's getting quite awkward.

I'm not interested at all. I feel just like I did when I was on the pill. We still DTD, but I don't enjoy it.

Happily married mom to DS (Aug 09) and two furry troublemakers.

I think your sex drive is over here. I think I have enough sex drive for everyone in this DDC.

Zen doula-mama to my spirited DS1 (2/03), my CHD (TAPVR) warrior DS2 (6/07) & a gentle baby girl (8/09)

Hmm... I knew it had to be at someone else's house... Could you send just a little back? Doesn't have to be all of it, I can wait for that to return... but SOME interest would be nice.
