I didn't know that about tylenol and wine. My midwife didn't mention that.

The wine didn't work much anyway.

I just took some tylenol PM, my midwife suggested that. I need to try to rest and sleep. I had to cut the errands short, I am in a lot of pain. I have not yet been unable to get through normal tasks. But they aren't regulating really. hmmmm.

At this point if wine and tylenol are helping I would continue, just my personal opinion. Better to use it a few days to get through than get so worn down that you lose faith and desire to manage the hard part of labor. I highly suggest you forget errands and rest, a bath and lie dowm. This is your mama talking, LOL. Do whatever you can today to relax, rest and center yourself. I am praying for you.

I am starting to get discouraged.

Its been almost a week of hard contractions. The wine didn't help last night anyway.

I tried the Tylenol PM just now and took a 4 hour very disturbed nap. The contractions woke me every 5-10 minutes and I was so groggy I couldn't get up. I am not sure how I can take care of my 2 year old and continue this way. I am the only person here to run errands. I need to go to the grocery store and fill my WIC vouchers... UGH. My pregnancy and labor was like this with Abrielle and when I ended up in full blown labor I stopped making progress at about hour 12 of labor. I continued on another 24 hours at the same stage making no progress, I went into the hospital at 4 CM and was given pain meds and Pitocin. I feel like this might be a repeat of that.

I am losing hope and faith and patience. I'm so exhausted.

I'm so sorry - Torre...you must be so frustrated. Hang in there, girl. Whatever happens and however that baby comes, you'll be holding your little one before long.

I understand, do only what you have to do. You need to change your 2y/o, feed her. What can you do to make anything easier? Are you doing spinningbabies? What suggestions does midwife have? Lots of squatting and cat stretches.

My midwife and I talked and I am going to head to the hospital. I want them to check my cervix and then possibly start the Pitocin. If it doesn't work I still have the option to sign out AMA.

Depending on what progress I have made, they may keep me and augment me tonight or give me some Ambien then I can decide to augment in the AM.

I am just so tired and my body is too I think.

Thanks everyone.... I will keep you updated.

Good luck naturalmama! I'm still having lots of contractions too, but I'm now fairly positve that they're just BH - irregular and mostly only in the front vs wrapping around to the back (though I've definetly had some of them too)... I see my MW tommorrow morning, so we'll see what she says - I sure hope your hospital visit goes well and you have a healthy baby here soon!!
