How much have you gained so far?

I've had terrible m/s so far and still managed to gain weight. It seems like eating is the only thing that satisfies me. I have already gained 5 lbs since finding out I am pregnant. I was a little underweight so I'm not worried yet, but I can't keep going at this pace.

I haven't gained anything this time around, but when I was pregnant back in August, I gained almost 10 lbs by 10 weeks. I had the same situation as you; unless I was stuffing myself, I felt horribly sick. After my miscarriage, I only lost about half of what I had gained. So I'm still technically about 5 lbs heavier than I was "pre-pregnancy", it's just not from this pregnancy...

I am 8w and have gained 3lbs. Like you, if I don't eat constantly, I'm violently sick. This is what always happens w/me and the weight gain slows down a lot for me in the 2nd tri, so it balances out. I have gained between 30-33lbs with my other pregnancies, and I'm guessing that's what'll happen this time, too.

Nada- I'm at 10 weeks and I've lost almost 10 pounds so far due to crazy bad m/s. I'm sort of worried that when I do start to gain, I'm going to put in on really fast. But whatever it takes to be healthy.....

I didn't weigh myself for the first time until about 7 weeks, but I think I had gained a pound or two by then - since then have lost 2. So pretty sure I'm breaking out even so far...soon to change, since the m/s is getting much better and food is my friend again.

i've gained too, about 5 also. i am 10 weeks today. i'm hungry all the time it seems. and it REALLY is hunger, usually if i try and wait it out it only gets worse, so i don't think it's stress eating. i have been craving fats though which could be a comfort thing. i try and follow a TCM diet; low in fat & dairy, low in wheat products, low in sugar. i think i need a little more fat now...i think.....portion wise i am eating more too.... i crave things like egg salad, chicken salad, cheese, yogurt, wheat bread......but i agree if this goes on i'll be huge and very unhappy. i try to curb my appetite but i go back and forth with whether i should......i'm not eating junk food or anything. not sure what to do. i was at a healthy weight prior and happy with it, so this is a plus. i think since this winter has been so cold i haven't gotten outside much for walks and such and this could be a factor. what's a girl to do? in my second tri i am going to start yoga. hopefully it all balances itself out. :

I've lost a couple pounds due to not eating much. I'm also nursing, though. Last time, didn't gain or lose anything in the first tri.

I'm down about 14 now! I'm having sporatic days when I feel like maybe, just MAYBE the ms is letting up a bit and I feel like a eat a relatively normal amount, so maybe soon I'll be on the upswing..... Seems like I was able to keep steady, pretty much, maybe down 4 or 5 lbs, until the last 3 weeks - I guess baby is using more calories bc now I'm really starting to lose - and trying very hard to eat enough not to, but it's DIFFICULT.

I am 9w2d today and lost about 4 pounds. But the notion of food gradually becomes appealing again........ I've gained 22-25 pounds in my previous pregnancies, both times only in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. They say every pregnancy is different, but I cannot really attest to that.

Depends on the time of day...in the mornings I'm about the same weight, in the evenings I'm awfully bloated and am up a few pounds. I've had nausea and aversions, but no actual vomiting (so far) so that's helping. With my previous pregnancies I lost weight and wasn't in the positive until well into my second tri.

I started this pregnancy at a nice healthy weight and in very good physical shape (just ran in a marathon in September!), and although I haven't been able to workout the last couple weeks, I'm anxious for the nausea and exhaustion to pass so I can get in the gym again. My workout buddies miss me!

Good to hear I'm not alone. I'm not eating that unhealthy either. I do crave the weirdest things. Today I've wanted cheese. I had an egg sandwich w/cheese and tomatoes for breakfast (totally unusual choice for me) and a huge plate of mac n cheese for dinner just now (not just mac n cheese btw).

I'm sure I've put on a few since my "chubby day" pants are getting tight on my booty and hips. It's not from eating, but more from just lying down for weeks.

I've gained between 5-8 pounds, but it fluctuates so I think it's all water.

I am exactly the same.

First thing in the mornings, I weigh pretty much the same as before, but last thing at night, I'm up around 1.5 kilos (around 3lbs I think)

With my last pregnancy, I gained a lot FAST in the first tri- but the nausea this time has kept my eating at bay. Maybe I'm just also a little more educated about what to eat

Oh yes I am around 11 weeks.

I'm up about 6 lbs...I'm another one who has to eat constantly or the m/s is worse. I think most of it is boobs and bloat, though....I already had to buy new bras.

So this is bliss! Proud mama to Katie, born gently at home 10/4/09, wife to my nursing student hubby (LPN down, RN here we come!), and coming in September....Katie's little brother!

I'm at 11 weeks today and haven't gained anything. I still have 40lbs left over from my ds. I've held onto this last 40 lbs for the past 3 years but I am still bf my 3yo ds and my Mom could never lose baby-weight until she weaned. I really wanted to get this off before getting pregnant again and had started running after my m/c in Sept. I was all set to run my first 5k in March but now I've had to stop running (MW said chance of slipping on ice or snow wouldn't be worth it).

My MW has suggested that I gain no more than 15-20lbs since I also have the extra 40. Anyway, I had gained 20lbs with my ds by 12 weeks (I was using food to control my m/s). Yikes!!

9 weeks here and down 2lbs, though I was up 2lbs a few weeks ago . . . weird. No real m/s, and I'm eating a lot more than I normally would. I was at my ideal weight before I got pregnant. Maybe it's because I've felt so manic and hyper that I'm burning it off. Or maybe it's the breastfeeding. Or maybe it's both.

I'm not worried about it. I lost weight throughout most of my first twin pregnancy, due to the disaster relief work I was doing. I was a good 35lbs overweight when I got pregnant, then, after the babies were born, I was only about 10lbs overweight. I hate to think how much worse I would've felt if I'd had 25 extra pounds of fat to carry around during those last weeks (being 38wks with twins just isn't fun).

Nothing at all. Not an ounce. After yesterday I'm probably down a few pounds. But my pants are tight. My regular jeans are muffin topping big time, and with the morning sickness I don't like wearing them.

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow.

Stinker!! Although I think I held on a bit longer with my second....

but with the third- omg, your body doesn't forget!! I am almost to the end of my 'big jeans' then it's on to soft waist pants.

I have gained about 5 lbs, I think.
