My oldest won the State gymnastics championship this morning. There were 36 girls in her level, broken into 3 sub-age groups by age (all of them 8 years old). DD had the highest overall score of every competitor. For the first time in over a month, I was able to shut out the horrible nausea long enough for them to announce her as the champion; it was incredible :

Being pg, and knowing the joys that come with being a parent, make this baby that I'm carrying even more special, it seems. I was picturing DD when she was born- that first time I held her in my arms and cried with love and thanksgiving that she was alive, safe and healthy (I had a very high-risk pg w/her) when she was on the podium. I wonder what this baby will do with his/her life? It's just awesome

Half-marathon running Mommy to 3 spunky girls and 1 sweet boy. Spending my days and nights where my kids need me most- at home with them!!

Wow congratulations! You must be one proud mama.

Married to my perfect match since July 2007 and joyfully expecting our first sometime around September 23rd!:

Congrats to you and to her, and thanks for sharing. This is our first, so I love to hear stories about other people's kids and imagine what it will be like when we have "moments"

So this is bliss! Proud mama to Katie, born gently at home 10/4/09, wife to my nursing student hubby (LPN down, RN here we come!), and coming in September....Katie's little brother!
