: i am going to see my PCP today to ask about the Rhogam shot. my MW is really pushing me to get it. i still am on the fence about it but i'm running out of time. i'm so indecisive so this is NOTHING new for me. i'm really pissed i have to run around with this piece of shit insurance co i have! they are all scams IMO but i am too much of a chicken to go without insurance. i also need to try and switch my site number over to the back-up birth center........we'll see how that goes. HMOs. now i know why people hate them. i don't need this added stress! END RANT.

FYI, there is some info on the Rhogam shot in this book (text is online): http://www.childbirthconnection.org/...k=10218&area=2

I hate insurance, too, by the way.

I have an hmo this time too - the OOP (out of pocket) cost is going to be stellar, but sheesh! All the compromises I make in the mean time blow!!!!!

i just got off the phones with the jerks! My head has literally exploded.

I hate this ins. company-- and we had a choice between 3 ins companies this year, and we chose this one! Now we can't change until the baby is born.

I feel some satisfaction that we are going to be using teh hell out of the insurance this year, and then going with someone else next year. I wish I had known how sh*tty this company was before transferring.

Honestly I can't complain about my insurance company...yet...but I CAN complain about the healthcare system in general!!

A few weeks ago when I went into L&D for my irritable uterus, I told the dr over the phone that I just wanted to get my urine checked to make sure it wasn't a UTI causing it. I KNEW I wasn't in labor. Dr insisted I go to L&D. There they did a monitor, a fFN, a GBS test, an internal exam, and a bag of IV fluids. I just got the bill...over $2000!!!! HOLY!!!! Thankfully I've met my deductible, so I won't pay a penny, but sheesh!!!
